UEFA Champions League 2018 (Well Maybe English)

We did this article to celebrate Real Madrid's victory in the 2017-2018 UEFA Champions League. The 2018 UEFA Champions League was the 63rd edition of the competition. The final was played at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine, on May 26, 2018. Real Madrid were proclaimed champions for the third time in a row. After beating Atlético de Madrid 3-1 in 2016 and Juventus 4-1 in the 2017 final.

It is the first time in the history of the competition that a team has managed to win the Champions League Cup three times in a row. The NSC Olimpiyskiy Kiev, has a capacity for 70,050 spectators and hosts the important matches of Dinamo Kiev and the Ukrainian national team. Let's talk about the most important football club competition in the world.

Real Madrid and Liverpool F.C. they met again in the decisive instance as they had already done in the 1980-81 season with the victory of the English team. The Spanish team has reached the final in 4 of the last 5 editions and has surpassed its own record by reaching 8 consecutive semifinals. After eliminating Paris Saint-Germain (from France), Juventus (from Italy) and Bayern Münich (from Germany) they qualified for the final to defend their bi-championship. Bi-champion Real Madrid reached its 16th final, a record high, after a 4-3 aggregate victory against Bayern Münich.

Liverpool was precisely the last team to defeat Real Madrid in a European Cup final, winning 1-0 in Paris in 1981. The final was broadcast in 226 countries and UEFA has estimated an audience of 350 million viewers. At the opening ceremony we were able to see a spectacular show by the British singer Dua Lipa and the Jamaican Sean Paul. In 6 minutes, Lipa sang her biggest hits: "One Kiss", "Be the One", "IDGAF", "New Rules", accompanied by her army of dancers and of course her biggest hit duet with Sean Paul: "No Lie".

As the players entered the field, a couple of cellists were playing the Champions League anthem. How elegant! A goal in a barely perceptible out of place but correctly marked by the linesman, annuls Real Madrid its first goal in the first half. Mohamed Salah was called up at the 31st of the first half when he collided with Sergio Ramos. And this is a very hard blow for Liverpool that is left without the star of the team. After the break, Isco shoots and hits the crossbar. The goal is close.

A mistake by the Liverpool goalkeeper that Karim Benzema takes advantage of, ties the score to 1-0 in the second half. Liverpool quickly counterattack and the Reds tied the game on a corner kick. Later, Garret Bale makes one of the most spectacular Chileans in the history of the Champions League and achieves the second goal for the merengue team. Then a shot from Mane that goes straight to the post fails to tie the match.

Finally to seal the victory, Garret Bale fires a long-distance shot and, due to the error of the goalkeeper's save, the third goal for Real Madrid was achieved. Real Madrid win the final 3-1. Real Madrid is tri-champion of the UEFA Champions League. The fans received them as heroes on the streets of Madrid.
